Engineering

Engineering deals with the mathematical, scientific, information technology, social and legal factors involved in valuation, plus protocols for executing tasks. Social and legal factors take the form of task requirements or constraints that must be observed.

Engineering is divided into Valuation Engineering and Knowledge Engineering. Valuation Engineering is primarily concerned with developing specific value models for particular domains. Knowledge Engineering is primarily concerned with how to best store the information and executable protocols for a variety of valuation tasks.
